About Glen Keith Distillery
Glen Keith distillery, a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distillery, was built by Chivas Brothers and has been owned by the Pernod Ricard group since 2001.
Located near the historic Strathisla Distillery, Glen Keith opened in 1958, marking the first new distillery in Speyside since the 1898 whisky crash, contrasting with Strathisla, one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries. Construction on the site of an old meal-mill began in 1957 and was completed in 1960 with three stills intended for triple distillation. In 1970, the distillery switched to double distillation and added two more stills, incorporating Scotland’s first gas-fired stills and later installing steam coils.
Initially, Glen Keith’s output was used in blends like Chivas Regal, Passport, and 100 Pipers, and the distillery also served as a testing ground for production innovations, such as developing proprietary yeast strains. In the 1990s, Glen Keith released an official bottling, Glen Keith 1983, followed by a 10-year-old single malt and two peated malts, Glenisla and Craigduff. Mothballed in 1999, the distillery underwent extensive reconstruction and reopened in June 2013, with an annual production target of six million litres of spirit, primarily for use in blended whiskies destined for export.

Glen Keith is a renowned distillery located in Scotland with a rich heritage in producing fine whiskies. The rarity and quality of their products makes them desirable to collectors and enthusiasts, only increasing their value over time.
Whisky typically gains value as it ages and matures in the cask. The longer it remains in the cask, the more it has the potential to develop complexity and depth of flavors. We offer cask purchase programs that allow you to select the type of cask and aging duration, providing you with control over the maturation process.
Buying a cask allows you to own a unique piece of Bladnoch’s Kirkcowan Spirit production and a part of Bladnoch’s history. As the availability of aged and limited-edition whiskies decreases over time, the scarcity of these bottles can drive up their value.
Whisky has experienced growing popularity worldwide, particularly with the rise of collectors and investors seeking alternative assets. If the demand for premium Scotch whisky remains strong or continues to increase, it could positively impact the investment potential of your Kirkcowan Spirit (Bladnoch) cask. Recently we have seen the price of a standard bottle of Bladnoch rise from £40 to £80.
