About Glen Scotia Distillery
Glen Scotia distillery, affectionately known as The Scotia or Old Scotia, stands as a proud producer of single malt Scotch whisky with a history dating back to its founding in 1832.
Situated in Campbeltown, one of Scotland’s five recognized whisky-producing regions, Glen Scotia boasts a formidable pedigree. Campbeltown, fondly referred to as the “Wee Toon” and once heralded as the Victorian Whisky Capital of the World, is home to just three operating distilleries today: Glen Scotia, Springbank, and Glengyle, providing a unique glimpse into the region’s rich whisky-making heritage.
Despite modernisations, Glen Scotia retains much of its original charm, with key features such as the mash tun, stillroom, and dunnage warehouse dating back to the 1830s. With a dedicated team of eight employees overseeing operations and visitor experiences, Glen Scotia welcomes enthusiasts to explore its heritage through daily distillery tours and tastings, complemented by a Victorian-style shop offering whiskies, merchandise, and more.

Glen Scotia is a renowned distillery located in Scotland with a rich heritage in producing fine whiskies. The rarity and quality of their products makes them desirable to collectors and enthusiasts, only increasing their value over time.
Whisky typically gains value as it ages and matures in the cask. The longer it remains in the cask, the more it has the potential to develop complexity and depth of flavors. We offer cask purchase programs that allow you to select the type of cask and aging duration, providing you with control over the maturation process.
Buying a cask allows you to own a unique piece of Bladnoch’s Kirkcowan Spirit production and a part of Bladnoch’s history. As the availability of aged and limited-edition whiskies decreases over time, the scarcity of these bottles can drive up their value.
Whisky has experienced growing popularity worldwide, particularly with the rise of collectors and investors seeking alternative assets. If the demand for premium Scotch whisky remains strong or continues to increase, it could positively impact the investment potential of your Kirkcowan Spirit (Bladnoch) cask. Recently we have seen the price of a standard bottle of Bladnoch rise from £40 to £80.
