Speyside Capital attend BWA meet in House of Commons, London

Exclusive Engagement at the BWA Annual Meet

The Bonded Warehousekeepers Association held their exclusive annual event on 6th September at the House of Commons, London. As a member of the 200 year old association, BWA, Speyside Capital had the pleasure of attending along with a selection of their other members to discuss the Whisky Industry and Global trade.

It was an honour to join a circle of whisky experts and industry leaders for an insightful discussion and reflection. The gathering, marked by a lunch sponsored by Kevin Hollinrake MP, served as an exclusive platform for key decision-makers within the whisky industry. Hollinrake, who has served as the Shadow Secretary of State for Business and Trade since July 2024, also served as the afternoons guest speaker. Discussions and insights on the evolving global whisky market and the strategic opportunities ahead were laid down.

Among the many discussions, a critical focus was on the exciting prospects presented by the ongoing India-UK trade negotiations, a pivotal moment for the whisky industry. India’s growing thirst for whisky promises substantial opportunity for growth and innovation. For Speyside Capital, with its discerning approach to whisky cask ownership, the event provided a fantastic opportunity to engage in high-level dialogue around these vital topics and to strengthen its position at the forefront of the global whisky trade.

The days events was a further commitment to us helping shape the future of the whisky industry, both in the UK and on a global scale.
